Thor: The Dark World will continue the storyline started off in Thor in Phase Two of  Marvel's cinematic universe plan.

Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston reprise their roles from Thor and Avengers Assemble as the Thor the Thunder God and Loki the God of Mischief respectively in a tale that we've been promised will be darker than its predecessor. Game Of Thrones director Alan Taylor takes over from Kenneth Branagh in the director's chair.

While plot details are thin on the ground at the moment, at Comic Con 2012 Marvel released the film's official logo as well as the subtitle "The Dark World".

Asgardian Sorceress Amora (The Enchantress) and Jotunheimian Warrior Skurge (The Executioner), long-time enemies of Thor and associates of Loki have been favorites for a Thor movie even going back to the initial planning stages of the first film and are the top contenders for the sequel.

We've had both of Odin's son's discuss their hopes for the film as well as Idris Elba talk of reprising his role of Heimdall.
