Frobisher Says! was an early Vita highlight so that alone means we’ve reserved a bit of excitement for whatever developer Honeyslug does next. That thing is Hohokum, a cartoony collaboration with Sony Santa Monica and artist Richard Hogg.

Fuse Ps3 screens

Here’s me and Joel playing though the new Fuse demo which went up on the Store today. It didn’t blow either of us away. It’s not particularly original and certainly doesn’t play like a new game coming out this year. A couple of years ago, maybe, but not this year.

I bought Grand Theft Auto 4 on release day, excitedly careening into Liberty City to mow down pedestrians, fistfight hobos and, as it turned out, go for some of history’s most tedious games of bowling. But just for one day. See, I was only a month away from taking my university finals and, try as I might, I couldn’t find any evidence of past Oxford philosophy papers including questions about the morality of an illegal immigrant gunning down psychopathic club owners with substance addictions. Back in your box, Mr Bellic.

Invites are doing the rounds for a special Gran Tursimo event at Silverstone on the 15th of May. Among the GT info is a promised “announcement about its future”. Given the number of mentions of an upcoming Gran Turismo 6 PS3 release, that seems the most likely option.

Shuhei Yoshida has said Sony “didn’t even consider” an always online connection for PS4. The reason being the variation in quality of internet connections around the world. Following on from a slew of indie game annoucments Sony have announced a special Store area to campion and promote independent content. This is a good thing as it hopefully means loads of cheap and interesting games.
