THE SATAVA AWARD

Established in 1995 to acknowledge the contribution of Richard M. Satava MD FACS, the Satava Award is presented each year to an individual or research group demonstrating unique vision and commitment to the improvement of medicine through advanced technology.

The 18th Satava Award was presented on Friday, February 22, to Alexander Tsiaras "for making the human visible to provide a deeper understanding of how our bodies work. His images tell a story that words alone cannot." Alexander's two presentations clearly demonstrated how medical imagery, in combination with compelling narrative, can inform awareness of health and promote well-being. Medical professionals and the public alike benefit from his brilliant work.
