Teri Plummer McClure

SVP of Legal, Compliance, Audit & Public Affairs, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Teri Plummer McClure is the company's chief legal and compliance officer. In this role, she oversees all UPS ethics and compliance, audit and legal initiatives in more than 220 countries and territories where the company does business, and advises and supports the UPS Board of Directors.

McClure also leads UPS worldwide public affairs and government relations efforts advocating increased global trade, stronger business competitiveness, and improved economic growth worldwide, among many other public policies.

McClure is a member of the Company's eleven-member Management Committee, which is responsible for setting strategy and profit and operating plans for the company's worldwide operations and over 400,000 employees.

A native of Kansas City, Kansas, McClure received a bachelor's degree in marketing and economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and a juris doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta. McClure began her legal career in private practice focusing on labor and employment-related civil litigation. Prior to joining UPS, McClure practiced with the Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta.

McClure joined the UPS Corporate Legal Department in 1995, and was promoted into various legal roles including vice president. In 2003, McClure became vice president of operations for the Central Florida District. Before returning to the Legal Department, McClure held special assignments in UPS logistics and distribution and served as UPS Compliance Manager. McClure was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2006.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, McClure is a member of various bar associations and serves on the board of trustees of the UPS Foundation, which distributed more than $49 million in grants in 2010. She is also a trustee on the board of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, started by UPS founder Jim Casey, which annually grants more than $150 million to programs that improve outcomes for children at risk.

Additionally, McClure serves on the boards of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, and the Emory University Board of Trustees. She has served as former co-chair of the Georgia Supreme Courts Committee on Civil Justice. Among many notable accomplishments, in 2010 McClure received the Equal Justice Works Scales of Justice Award for supporting lawyers in public service and in 2008 received the Emory Law Distinguished Alumni Award.

McClure, her husband and daughters live in Atlanta where they are active with many church-related, civic, and community organizations.
