Bigger, better and more versatile than its predecessor. Arkham City is a superb gaming achievement, and with it Rocksteady earns a rightful place in this generation's most talented developers.- Posted Oct 27, 2011

It could be argued that Portal didn't need a sequel, such a unique and complete experience as it was, but since it got one, it might as well be this; a game that stays true to the spirit of the original, while at the same time expanding and adding onto it, without over-complicating the experience. If this is how Valve chose to spend their time instead of developing Episode 3, we're not going to be the ones to complain!- Posted Apr 19, 2011

Nintendo's masterpiece withstood the test of time and the years that passed after its initial release. Simply put, the best reason to own a 3DS!- Posted Jun 28, 2011

Naughty Dog once again delivers a unique cinematic experience that has no equal. With superb graphics, unbelievable set-pieces, superb story telling and great characters, Uncharted 3 is a genre-defining game. Next time though, we'd like to see better shooting mechanics.- Posted Oct 24, 2011

Xenoblade Chronicles is a technological achievement and a breath of fresh air in a decaying breed that desperately needs such efforts to keep it goin΄. Players need to invest dozens of hours roaming on the petrified body of Titan Bionis to reveal the secret and the true power of Monado. And they're going to be such great hours!- Posted Aug 23, 2011

Although the differences from Forza 3 are somewhat subtle, this new game from Turn10 is a superb driving simulator, full of modes, cars and passion that racing enthusiasts should not miss.- Posted Oct 12, 2011

EA once again delivers an excellent football (or... soccer if you prefer) game, even though this edition's new features don't seem to work out as fine as the ones made in previous years.- Posted Oct 4, 2011

Blizzard has undergone an extremely ambitious effort with the Cataclysm expansion, razing the familiar to the ground and building something that proves both new and inviting. And while certain balance issues are being fixed via patches, thereʼs something good here for new players, veterans, hardcore and casual gamers alike.- Posted Mar 4, 2011

The team at Visceral took everything the first game had to offer, vastly improved it and while they were at it, left out all that was bad. It'll scare the pants off of you, even piss you off occasionally, and you'll love it for that.- Posted Mar 4, 2011

Ignoring modern trends for simple and easy games, Creative Assembly offers an enticing gameplay for hardcore followers and newcomers alike. Shogun 2 has indeed evolved into a superb and tighter experience than its predecessors.- Posted Mar 30, 2011

In this current gen's masterpiece, Philip Dick meets William Gibson and Blade Runner meets the original Deus Ex. We can't see how on earth Warren Spector will stick with making another Disney game.Posted Sep 1, 2011 -

L.A. Noire is a superb adventure game soaked in the atmosphere of the post-WW II Los Angeles. The stocky storyline is held back only by minor gameplay issues, and Team Bondi created the first Rockstar game in which you don't mind whether you fire a gun or not. At all.- Posted May 24, 2011

It is quite simple. There is not a single modern RPG that can stand up to the story-telling and the convincing, atmospheric world of Witcher 2. In addition to this, CD Projekt simplifies gameplay mechanics wisely, without sacrificing the depth of the overall experience.- Posted May 27, 2011

Even though DiRT 3 does not have major improvements over the previous games, the fact that it incorporates "Rally modes" -that Europeans will surely love- gives it a more "global" appeal. Oh, and the technology that is uses has no match!- Posted Jun 13, 2011

Fifteen years may have passed since its original release, but Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together still manages to enchant any "tactical-RPG" lover who devotes his free time to it. A real gem that earns its rightful place next to Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and Jeanne d'Arc.- Posted May 11, 2011

Game Freak did it again. Pokemon Black Version is a masterpiece, delivering all the superb gameplay elements that fans of the series learned to love over the years. The only drawback is the dated technology it uses, something that will surely be addressed in the future versions for the 3DS.- Posted Apr 30, 2011

It's surely a testament of how Nintendo can take a simple concept and turn it into a robust experience. It may lack the challenge other Nintendo games have, but offers some truly relaxing moments in a wonderfully designed world...if you can handle the cuteness.- Posted Mar 4, 2011

Year by year, EA's NHL series keeps getting marginally better. The 2011-12 edition has more options, improved AI and greater depth. But the formula is starting to feel a bit old and makes us feel that the time has come for a complete reconstruction.- Posted Oct 27, 2011
