UPS has a long history as an airline safety leader. We place the highest emphasis on the safety of our employees, aircraft and customers' shipments, as well as the general public. We work continually to advance the cause of aviation safety, both for our company and the industry as a whole.
In November 2012, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued a report recommending improvements in cargo airline fire safety measures. UPS agrees with the NTSB's goals, which is why we are pioneering a series of industry-leading aviation fire safety enhancements. UPS has partnered with its pilots union, the Independent Pilots Association, the NTSB, FAA and industry safety experts in these groundbreaking efforts.
