Blizzard has confirmed that the forthcoming PS3 and PS4 editions of Diablo 3 will not feature connectivity with the PC version.
According to a Blizzard representative on Battle.net, cross-platform play would be desirable, but is nonetheless ruled out. "There are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle.net. As a result, the characters on your Battle.net account and PlayStation account will also remain separate."
The rep also confirmed that the PC version will not support an analog controller hookup, and nor will the console versions support USB keyboard and mouse play.
The news comes after confirmation yesterday that the PS3 and PS4 will support offline play, in contrast with the PC edition.
