Blizzard has released the first screenshots of Diablo 3 running on console.

Chris Metzen, senior vice president of story and franchise development, said: "Console game development is in our blood, we're very passionate about it [and] we held a deep desire to get back into the midst.
"We spent a lot of time thinking about which of our franchises could translate to console, that could make the jump while maintaining the accessibility. We know we've found that game."
He went on to promise "painstakingly optimised control schemes" and a new four-player co-op mode.
