Rockstar has released a new GTA V trailer focused on the game's protagonists.
As shown in the final section, the game will bring the three characters together in a series of "really messy" situations. You'll be able to find out more about the roles each character plays and how they interact this Thursday, May 2, when CVG will publish a new GTA V preview..
Our GTA V preview will be accompanied by a detailed episode of GTA 5 o'Clock.
Rockstar's GTA V publicity campaign has intensified since March, with the release of a viral video, ten GTA V screenshots and the official GTA V box art.
The publisher has confirmed a delayed GTA V release date of September 17 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

I'd like them to sell this concept of switching between the 3 characters. I'm not sure how that's supposed to work from either a gameplay or narrative point of view. I suspect I'll stick to one character for most of the game and change when I need to.

I love GTA 3, VC and SA but after the average GTA IV (Bad car handling, virtual socializing and toll booths) this looks great. All three campaigns have a different feel. Its a great idea so see all aspects of life in the same city.

His trailer a long with Radio Gaga playing got me interested but then with the other two trailers that went down quick. Trevor looks too ridiculous in my opinion and just comes across like R* are trying a little too hard to be over the top. Franklin looks about as interesting as the stereotypical black gangster he's being based on. Thank goodness for multiple characters otherwise I'd be real p**sed if I was forced to play the other two. They just seem really rushed imo compared to Rockstars' usual lead characters. Hopefully the game feels good enough playing as only one of them but I've a feeling the game will at many times try to persuade you to play as the other two due to some gameplay feature like Chop the dog.

you can do a few missions of Trevor and then select the map,zoom out and then select Michael or Franklin on the other sides of the game map and do a few(or all) of their missions if you wish

The trailers give a fair amount of insight into what the characters are like; Michael is fed up and wants some excitment in his life, Franklin seems like a suffering realist in company with a bunch of idiots and Trevor just seems like your wildcard character; it doesn't seem like he has a motivation: "Some men just want a tangerine" comes to mind.
Obviously the trailers don't capture a story arc particularly so Franklin may progress away from the Rags to Riches with Retards thing we've seen before, and we might figure out what Trevor wants.

This would be the first one that's not given me that excitement after the first trailer.
I know GTA's main draw hasn't always been just the story but that and the missions have always gone hand in hand for me with all the GTAs. I've never liked multiple characters for narrative purposes but that's usually been because games thrust you into the boots of different people at different times. This on the other hand offers you the choice so maybe that'll be a breath of fresh air.

It completely beggars belief with how some people are complaining on YouTube about the graphics being terrible. I know YT isn't the greatest place for valid opinion but for what is supposed to be considerably bigger than Red Dead, IV and San Andreas combined in a free roaming game and a Google Map style character selection option, they've done a wonderful job with the design. It isn't far off the look of Max Payne 3 and that looked lovely.

I would probably hold out and get it for PS4, instead of PS3, if it were to be at least confirmed.

If it does end up coming out on next gen systems as well, I'll happily buy a copy for the PS3 and the PS4. I know, I'm a GTA whore. I wasn't sure about the multi-protagonist idea at first, but I agree that it will probably be amazing. If anyone can pull it off, it's those wizards at Rockstar.
