New Watch Dogs trailer confirms November release

Four collector's editions also announced

Ubisoft has confirmed that the much-anticipated Watch Dogs will release on November 22 in Europe and November 19 in North America for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC, and "at launch" on PS4.

Along with a new trailer, the publisher has announced four different collector's editions for the open-world title, each offering a variety of digital and physical bonuses.

Watch Dogs is currently number two in the CVG 2013 most anticipated games vote, which closes on May 1.

Details of the Watch Dogs collector's editions are as follows:

Looking like PC then, unless I hold out for the PS4 version?

I'll just pick up the regular game for the Wii U instead of these other editions.

I'll probably buy it for PS4, if the console is released in Europe in 2013. If not I'll pick it for for PS3.

The depressing thing about looking forward to the game is knowing they probably have small teams already working on yearly sequels.

For the love of god Ubisoft! Stop with the 5+ editions of each new game. I'm sick of losing out on in game content just because I don't buy an edition from a certain retailer.

This is not going to be as good as people are expecting, I have learned the art of sensing these things over the years. It will be OK, good at best but nothing to shout about.

The fact that most people will still be playing GTA V when they pick this up will not help it's reception.

Ubisoft are really outdoing themselves with these special editions  . That vigilante one looks decent mind you, I'm a sucker for game related clothing.
As the guy said above, I'll have to agree. Most likely another Assassin's Creed 1 again. Good ideas, great presentation, but ultimately average. Every series has to start somewhere, right?

I beg to differ as the game as an interesting concept that most other games don't have.

Well I have no plans to buy GTA V so Ubisoft can count a sale from me.

The first Assassin's Creed had an interesting concept.

It will show potential most probably, but ultimately will fall-flat in it's execution. I can almost guarantee it.

Cool, I'll be getting the 360 version. I want the steelbook, but really don't wish to sign up with U Play. How typically predictable that Game hold the majority of the Collectors Editions. The suppliers have obviously learnt nothing since last March and the Mass Effect 3 Special Edition "Game Exclusive" debacle. Still, I must admit, my most recent experience in Game was very positive, I actually (gasp) got a guy who knew what he was talking about, got two brand new games for 20 quid each and they guy even threw in a free dlc card. A positive step. Maybe their attitude is slowly changing?

If I do end up getting this game, I think I'll go for the uplay exclusive seeing as I still have my £10 voucher that came with the Assassin's Creed III Freedom Edition.

I really like the look of this game from a gameplay perspective and will be buying it based on that but I was hoping for a good story to go with it instead it looks like the usual action movie cliche bulls**t of "they killed my family now they're gonna pay" there might be some conspiracy stuff thrown in there aswell relating to governmet corruption cuz ubisoft loves this sort of stuff and the game looks alot like person of interest but yh bit disappointing.

I'll definitely be buying the ps4 standard version, even if that means waiting until 2014.

I'll be buying the PS3 normal edition. Not rushing out and buying a next gen console day one nor can I be bothered to wait just for better graphics and/or gimmick features.

I'm not blown away by the context either, gameplay could be interesting though.

This is like the Last of Us to me: everyone seems to be bleating on about it as if we've never seen the likes of it before, but I'm just sitting here thinking at best these games are going to be very well designed examples of the kind of stories and settings that we've all been getting sick of this generation.

Everyone whinges about fps's, but I'm all for another fps -or any other style of game for that matter- if it can bring some new story, character or environment ideas to the table, but the two games I've mentioned here just don't seem to be doing that.

I'm sure the DLC will be obtainable separately. Personally, I'll be grabbing this on my next gen gaming machine..... PC 8)

I'll have to pick this game up for Xbox :D looks like it could be the GTA killer we all needed :D for some reason I laughed when I heard you could hack traffic lights and make cars crash and that you can bankrupt someone by just hacking their phone :D

I think you're missing the point. No one's going to buy four versions, unless they're a collector maybe. In its day Lemmings was ported to every machine imaginable, from the humble Gameboy, to the Zx Spectrum, Atari St, Pc, Megadrive, Master System, Gamegear, Lynx, Cpc464, C64, 3d0, Acorn Archimedes, Mac, Atari 800 Xe/Xl, Cd32, Fm Towns, Snes, Nes, Cdi, Sam Coupe, Sharp X6800, TurboGrafx Cd, even calculators and mobile phones. The point is the more platforms the game is on the better as people can buy it for their chosen machine.

That's not what i'm getting at, I completely understand why different platforms get the same game. I'm talking about the bonuses/special editions. Like you say, collectors might buy four versions, but most people wont, they'll go for one of them. So, what's the point, why not just go all out with one special edition with the OST, hat, figure, steel case, etc?

Unless of course they're trying to make up for piracy or something by encouraging big fans to buy each special edition to get all the bonus stuff... maybe... :P
