Batman Arkham Origins screens and art: A darker knight

Latest images show new (old?) Batsuit

Fresh screenshots and artwork for Batman: Arkham City Origins have appeared online.

The images, which have been posted on AGB, offer a closer look at the new (old?) Batsuit the Dark Knight will be donning for the prequel. Also pictured are Black Mask, the super-villain behind the events of Origins; Deathstroke, one of the assassin's hunting Bats during the game; and Branden, the corrupt GCPD officer introduced in the Batman: Year One comic.

New Batman: Arkham Origins details have also been released courtesy of this month's GamesMaster magazine.

Looks really good. I just hope its put together better than AC. I loved AA and AC had great features, but it just seemed to end abruptly.

Also annoyed me that once you cleared an area and went back it was full of goons again, especially ones where you had six goons with guns.

No Kevin Conroy in this one either apparently.

It would be good if they slimmed Batman down a bit for this one; make him a bit more lithe and graceful. He seemed too beefy in the first two games.

Didn't have a bleedin' clue who Deathstroke was until I played Injustice. Now I know he could be a decent challenge in any boss fights. And he might have a ponytail.

Nah,I personally like batman being bulky. It shows how muscular he is and the reason why he can do some of the unbelievable feats like prying a nailed in vent windows with his bare hands or pull down a concrete wall with his grabbing hook.

Yeah, I only said slim him down a bit. I don't want him to look like a wimp, only slightly less like a brick s**thouse.

You're quite right. Don't know what I was thinking, phew for a minute there I lost myself.

Screens look great and I'm looking forward to this game. Batman suit looks very cool indeed.

Hmmmm.... still not really digging the new bat-suit.

This is a prequel, yet his suit looks more high-tech and armoured than the one in Asylum/City.

I thought the suit was pretty much perfect in the previous games. Don't know why they felt they had to change it up so much.

But otherwise, I'm looking forward to this.

I much prefer this new suit, makes more sense than last one. Not that I disliked the last one but in this day and age still having pants on the outside looks kinda silly rather than intimidating, which is the whole point with the batsuit.

It is a little silly, but so are many other elements of the game - like a man who can turn in to clay, or the other dude who's lived for hundreds of years by regularly taking a dunk in a magic pond.

It's a comic book game, and it was the classic bat-suit.

The suit in this game looks more like an unlockable alternate costume, rather than the definitive bat-suit.

Yeah I get what you mean, I guess im just more accepting of murderous clay monsters than bad fashion taste
I still preferred the original over all the alternate batsuits that you could unlock in past games though, the more armoured ones were a step too far and reminded me of the awful batsuit in Batman & Robin...... *shudder*
