Reddit user captures behind-the-scenes look at next Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer

Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two has commissioned a live-action trailer for the upcoming GTAV TV commercial.

A behind-the-scenes eyewitness report published on Reddit shows photos of some of the vehicles and actors that will be used in the advertisement.

A Reddit user known only by his alias 'marcodj' wrote a brief description of how the advertisement plays out:

"The guy in the suit of the last photo exits the totalled car while talking to the camera, as he makes his way out, the car explodes and he walks by the car under the trees while some other effects are set behind him (I managed to see these in a monitor)."

Shooting ran in Mexico City from Saturday April 20 until Sunday evening, according to the report.

Some of the images, posted below, show the Grand Theft Auto 5 logo hanging in the background.

Rockstar Games announced in January that the GTA V release date has been delayed to September 17.

That's really strange. I don't know what it was shot with but that first photograph doesn't look like a photograph...

    Maybe I'm losing it... :?

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Has some sort of watercolour effect over it.

I think theres little point in doing a Full on Ad because all you need to do is show some bits of the in game trailer say coming soon or the release date Job Done because im sold before they made the game and i also say this "take my money"

I was gonna say the same thing. I wonder if Scott Malsen will make a cameo. :-)

Remember this is only a rumor from twitter not real info. As Franklin holds a gun to Claude's head after tracking him down to a shack in the country the man without a tongue finally speaks to reveal Salvatore Leone is still alive That was only a decoy, a body double in Gta 3. That gunshot at the end of the game was Salvatore getting revenge after she betrayed him by sending one of his men. Salvatore by that stage had fled the yakusa to Vice City or San Andreas Probably the latter as he knew it from that casino business in the 90's. He's the antagonist of Gta 5 and his former bodyguard Mike is one of the protagonists of Gta 5 Michael. Michael's wife Amanda who is angry at him for neglecting her teams up with Salvatore (who has a fondness for young women) to betray him to the feds. Michael, Franklin and Trevor are planning a massive bank heist on Los Santos Bank with the help of insider Ken Rosenberg who has changed professions from a lawyer to a banker since the events of Gta San Andreas. It was thought Cesar went to liberty city to avenge the death of Catalina by Claude but It was actually Salvatore who killed him in revenge for Cj's betrayal in Gta: San Andreas. The final mission is called the last don and is set in a military base where Salvatore and Amanda are about to escape You have a full wanted rating.
    What do you think?

I think live action trailers are pointless. Imagine if animated trailers started being released for live action movies. Waste of time and money!

I don't know why people indulge in live action fantasy, to be honest. I'm fine with D&D no need to LARP. If anyone even remotely thinks GTA is realistic, they need their head checked or casually glance at the news to realize their error....

Apparently it's a Sony advert and Rockstar deny its theirs.
