Mysterious Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix image leaks

Possible unannounced Assassin's Creed game

A logo for an unannounced Assassin's Creed game has leaked, following the official unveiling of Assassin's Creed IV earlier this week.

An obscured screenshot and logo for Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix appeared on All Games Beta earlier today, though no other details were provided for the unannounced game.

The image references Ubisoft Digital Arts, which is the publisher's digital cinema creation studio. The studio worked on the 2010 feature film Predators.

While the involvement of Ubisoft Digital Arts points to a possible film project, it was reported last week that a new Assassin's Creed game for PS Vita is likely to release in 2013.

Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag earlier this week. It will release on Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and PS4 in the 2013 holiday season.

    jeez Ubisoft really needs to track down these leaky gits who keep ruining the surprise for everyone. Let them announce it when their ready. They must realise that alot of money and time goes into planning releases and when to tell press, and doing stuff like this can either screw that up or make it viral, either way however its a risk that is to be decided beyond the paygrade of whichever dousche did this.

    When it comes to leaks I'd wager a larger percentage are not "leaks" at all. Its been known for company's to "leak" info in order to create a buzz about a "possible" (all be it very real) product in the works. I'm not saying that this is 100% the case in this instance but its a possibility. Its a quick and cheap way to get media coverage.
