TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) - The Florida State women's golf team, which has played in a school record seven consecutive NCAA Championships, begins its push for an eighth straight appearance as it plays in the 25th Annual ACC Women's Golf Championship tournament at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. April 19-21, 2013. It marks the fifth consecutive time the event will be played at Sedgefield - the actual site of the formation of the ACC in 1953. No. 4 ranked Duke enters the event as the defending champion as the Blue Devils won the event in 2012.

THE 2013 ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS FIELD
Florida State is joined by No. 4 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 13 Virginia, No. 22 NC State, Boston College, Maryland, Miami and Wake Forest in the three-day, 54-hole tournament on the 6,210 yard, par 71 course at Sedgefield. The course is also the host to Greensboro's PGA Tournament - the Wyndham Open.

FLORIDA STATE PLAYING FOR FIRST TEAM ACC CHAMPIONSHIP
Florida State, which has earned six top five team finishes in their last seven appearances in the ACC Women's Golf Championship, finished in fourth place in the 2012 ACC Championship. Florida State enters the 2013 ACC Championship looking to win the first ACC women's golf championship in school history. The Seminoles have finished as high as second (1992, 1995 and 1999) and have earned four third place finishes since joining the nation's top conference for the 1992 season.

SEMINOLES LOOKING FOR FIRST ACC CHAMPION
Florida State has had one player finish in the top 10 of the individual standings in each of the last 12 and 19 of the last 20 ACC Championship tournaments and is looking for a Seminole to take home the individual ACC Championship for the first time as Florida State begins play in the 2013 ACC Championships.

THREE HAVE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE
Florida State brings experienced line-up to the 2013 ACC Championships - three of its players have played in ACC Championships before. Senior Jessica Negron will play in her 4th ACC Championship while sophomore Laure Castelain and Alex Milan will play their second ACC Championship.

SEMINOLES ENTER ACC CHAMPIONSHIP FOLLOWING TOP FIVE FINISH
Florida State enters the 2013 ACC Championship on a high note following a fourth place finish at the Marsh Landing Invitational - its final event of the regular season. Junior Carlton Kuhlo finished off her third round of play with back to back birdies to move Florida State past both Florida International and UCF to earn their third top four team finish of the spring. Kuhlo played the best event of her career as she tied her career best score for a single round with a 73 in the final round and established a new career best score for a three round tournament (224).
