The excitement and spectacle of London 2012 was broadcast throughout the entire United Kingdom thanks to an unprecedented network of Live Sites - more than 70 sites that offered a greater amount of content to a wider audience than ever before.

The Live Sites helped to make the Games a truly national event, with screens in almost every major city in the UK, each of which became the focus of local celebrations.

In the years before the Games the Live Sites helped promote London 2012 opportunities and campaigns and provided great local venues for Games activities.

At Games-time they truly came alive with live sport content, live entertainment and ‘have a go’ sports sessions.
