Just kill it already. GT5 was a disaster. Yes, it sold gajillions, but weren't we all expecting a groundbreaking game? Hadn't we all previously played the brilliant GT4? What we got in GT5 was a grey mess with controls that felt like we were operating the Mars lander - detached, distant and slow. And MP was a buggy mess.
I'll place a bet GT6 does worse numbers than any in the series.
Forza Forza!

Looking forward to it, but I hope they make a better job of it than they did GT5.

How can anyone crap on GT5?? I can understand a physics complaint, that could be opinion (mine is it feels the best of any racer). But to have 16 cars on track that look as good as they do in GT5, at 60 fps, in 1080p no less...what PD accomplished is something no other devs have. I'm sorry but from a technical standpoint GT5 is the shit in my book. And PD has supported it for what..two years after launch?

Because being pretty just doesn't cut it anymore, and there are some awkward design choices in GT5.
The premium and standard cars for instance and that you can't just buy any standard car you want.
The lack of proper customization and that you can only perform racing modifications on a dozen cars.
Weirdly enough you can't also look around in cockpit view.
Unlike in GT4, you can't just choose any car you have in arcade mode. The AI still hasn't improved and you can no longer fast-forward in B-Spec races.
The AI also behaves differently in A-Spec and B-Spec races, the AI's pace is always constant in A-Spec races, still lapping in the same amount of time even in 24-hour endurance races.It's a great game at first sight, but once you get down to the details, it all crumbles.
Compared to what the alternative offers (Forza 4), GT5 just doesn't cut it anymore.Posted 1 day ago # -
@SlayerGT
GT5 did suffer a fair bit from the protracted lifecycle. A mess in some areas still. However it did offer a fantastic set of features and variety in what you could do. Karts, B-Spec, lots of different things to do. Oh and very good point about level of support offered post release. Aside from addressing things they also added and improved a lot of stuff too.I think Forza has the better physics and driving model, but the main game doesn't do enough with it.

Man, GT5 was awful. After that long install time to be bogged down by a slow and clunky menu. And then the actually physics of the game. I personally didn't think it looked *that* much better than other games on offer. It was like some of the high profile cars got the attention while a lot of others just looked standard.
It might have improved over time but I certainly wasn't there to see it. I was hugely disappointed.

Is Hrasda some kind of spambot? Or does he just really like the site he keeps linking? :P

^ I think he is affiliated with that site, and is hunting clicks by posting here...

@Talkar
They seem to get info from VG247 main articles, sensationalise them a bit, remove any sort of source credits and then repost a link here in the forum section. So hit seeking. It would be nice if mods tidied up the original post and removed the links at least. It occasionally sparks discussion but rarely anything that hasn't already been discussed in the original VG247 article.Posted 1 day ago # -
Ah okay, i haven't bothered visiting that site. Considering how many times he's posted it i'm just under the impression that it isn't worthy of a click x)

I guess I have to agree to disagree.
