BearShark Game Coming To The 3DS eShop

Posted by Tim Latshaw

You probably know how it's going to end

The aquaterrestrial tag team of BearShark have already been accessible on the 3DS through a series of shorts on Nintendo Video, but a game on College Humor’s predatory pair will soon be hitting the eShop as well.

According to the slightly sarcastic description on Nintendo’s website, BearShark looks to be an endless running game where perpetual victim Steve attempts to escape the beasts’ digestive tracts for as long as possible on both land and underwater:

Brand new, never-before-seen "score" feature keeps track of "numbers." Use Steve's trademark "jump" to avoid dangerous obstacles, like rocks, pufferfish and the diabolical machinations of Bear and Shark. Also, eat cupcakes you find in the woods & floating in the lake.

Hopefully there’s also a mode where you can play as Shark and Bear, since they always look like they’re having more fun than poor Steve.

BearShark is scheduled for release 2nd May. It is being developed by Silverball with College Humor handling publishing duties.

Does a BearShark game pique your appetite for fleeing food action?

Weird. No mention of a price...might it be free? I'd definitely at least give it a try if it was.

"Does a BearShark game pique your appetite for fleeing food action?" Not really...

I'd be more interested in an open world Dino Office game.

I'm not really interested. I enjoyed watching Dinosaur Office much more than BearShark, though I don't know how they'd make a game out of Dinosaur Office. If BearShark: The Game reviews well, and it's cheap, I might consider it.

I agree w/ the 3 previous statements as well, haha. Although truth be told, I actually dislike Bearshark. But as always, the more games the better for E-shop.

i'd rather they release those kid icarus uprising animations on the eshop like they did with those dreamworks videos rather than a game based on something as boring and unfunny as bearshark. not a fan of that or dinosaur office

I hate this series. It's so wack. It's not funny. It's a disgrace to bears and sharks. Who had the bright idea to waste manpower on this trash? Ugh. Unfunny. Unrad...

I'm not a huge fan of the BearShark series but I do check out its videos on Nintendo Video if I get bored. I can't imagine that this game would actually turn out to be worth getting though.

Probably will consider if Harry Partridge has anything to do with the game, if not I'll give it a pass unless it turns out to be a surprisingly good game.

while dinosaur office is MUCH better, I do enjoy endless runners and BearShark pretty well. If it isn't too expensive it will be a must buy.

Running away from a bear and a shark? Oh my god... It sounds... fun :D

I will buy it if it is 2 euros, same price of bird mania.

I load up NintendoVideo about once a week.
I absolutely HATE Dinosaur Office!
BearShark I find enjoyable.
I'll get it if it $2.oo or less.
I've got a bunch of Zelda's to get!

I personally can't stand the Dinosaur Office shorts. The voices are so grating. BearShark is decent, but I can't imagine a good game coming out of it.

Dinosaur Office was ok, but it's gotten bad, bearshark has been and stayed hilarious. I think the game will be so bad it's good (or at least funny)

Meat or Die is more entitled to its own game than Bear Shark. Endless runners are way too common, and with the quirky creativity of MoD, it could be anything, from a 2-D platformer to a puzzle game to lead Yans and Gans to their elusive dinner.
