Job Description We’re looking for a full-time in-house Web Development Manager at Rebellion Oxford to lead and manage our web development team and web-based software projects. This is a highly varied role at an exciting games development and publishing company, with current projects already including websites, ecommerce and backend server for our sites and games. We can consider permanent or contract employment but not freelance or agencies. You must be able to legally work in the UK.

Experience:
We’re looking for 2+ years’ experience in software project management, with a web development and/or ecommerce background. Any experience of running multiple consecutive projects would be a bonus and a degree-level education is preferred. Please provide links to examples of your completed products. Live examples would be preferred where possible.

Responsibilities:
- Project manage project lifecycles and delivery dates, proactively resolving issues and ensuring effective development, testing, delivery and maintenance of multiple web-related projects
- Lead, schedule, manage and represent our internal web development team
-Take ownership of driving Rebellion’s online business model
- Strategic liaison with other management and stakeholders
- Document and ensure quality, coherence and scalability of Rebellion projects

Skills:
- Project management including detailed proposals, schedules and follow-ups
- Understanding of software project cycle from conception to delivery and ongoing support
- Working knowledge of web development principles, web frameworks, services and databases
- Keen business focus for online marketing including: SEO, Google PageRank and social media
- Understanding of usability, accessibility, legal issues and data protection
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, able to communicate well with both technical and non-technical staff, across departments, and with senior management
- Excellent initiative, self-motivation, organisational and problem solving skills
