InteractiveTheatre.org - Using drama to educate others on sexual assault
This site began as the Sexual Assault Interactive Theatre Home Page on May 2, 1996. Aside from being a mouthful to say (and to type), this site evolved out of five previous years of experience within educational interactive theatre - in Tennessee, New York, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. It also grew out of the research I did at Syracuse University's Women's Studies program (which is available here), which in turn grew out of my conversion to Feminism.

The purpose of these pages is to be a resource for people involved, or planning to start an interactive theatre program, and also for people who are researching to topic. I have focused on sexual assault because it is an issue close to my heart, and find this medium a particularly effective way of attacking our societal ignorance.

Submissions for the list of groups, or for the online resources are welcomed with smiles and open-arms. Email is the quickest way, and you can get my address here.

A tremendous resource for information on sexual assault is the Sexual Assault Information Page, but if you have a site that isn't listed there, or if it deals with similar subject-matter, I'd be more than willing to consider adding a link.

Over the four years this site has been up, it's gone though a few layout changes, and most recently, a name and address change. While the content is the same, InteractiveTheatre.org more concisely states what the aim of this site is for. This name change is very recent, and if you see a site that is linking to our old address (using the bitstream.net domain), please be kind and let them (or me) know of the change.
