MOSCOW, April 7 (RIA Novosti) – Some 15,000 people were evacuated from a shopping center in southwest Moscow on Sunday following a prank call reporting a bomb threat, a Moscow police source said.
An unidentified woman called a police emergency number and reported a bomb in the Rumyantsevo shopping center. Police conducted a thorough search of the premises but did not find any suspicious objects.
“The bomb threat has not been confirmed,” a police spokesman said.
It was the second time this weekend that police had received a phone call reporting a bomb threat in Rumyantsevo. At least 1,500 people were evacuated from the mall after a phone call on Saturday.
