LinuxCon Japan 2012| Hotel & Travel

LinuxCon Japan 2012 will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center.

Hotel Accommodations

Pan Pacific Yokohama - This four-star hotel is located directly across the street from Pacifco, one minute from the Minatomirai subway station and is attached to the Queen's Square Yokohama shopping and dining complex.

The Linux Foundation has secured a room block for LinuxCon Japan attendees at the Pan Pacific Yokohama at the dicounted rate of JPY15,750 (about USD$191). Directions & Transportation Options

Getting to the hotel from Narita Airport - Take the Airport Limo Bus directly to the Pan Pacific (Minatomirai route). Once you exit customs, look for the Airport Limo Bus counter, and book your trip to the hotel. The staff at the counter will let you know where to wait outside for your bus. The trip will take approximately 90 minutes and is ¥ 3500 one way.

You can also take the JR Narita Express to Yokohama Station (84 minutes). From there, you can take a cab to to Pan Pacific (10 minutes) or transfer to the Minatomirai Line and exit at Minatomirai Station (4 minutes).  Exit the station into the Queen's Square Building.  The Pan Pacific can be accessed from inside the Queen's Square Building (the station is on the basement level, and the hotel entrance is on the first level).

Getting to the hotel from Haneda Airport - To reach the hotel from Haneda airport, please take the airport limo bus (Keihin Kyuko line) to YCAT (Yokohama City Air Terminal). From there, you will need to take a taxi to the hotel (about 10 minutes).  The bus ride is ¥ 560.  Alternatively, you can take the train by taking the Keikyu Airport Line from Haneda Airport to Keikyu Kamata station, then transfer to the Keikyu Line to Yokohama Station, then transfer to the Minatomirai line and exit at Minatomirai Station.  Exit the station into Queen's Square Building and follow the signs to the Pan Pacific entrance.  This trip will take about 30 minutes and cost around ¥ 700. 

Getting to Pacifico from the Pan Pacific - Exit the Pan Pacific into Queen's Square Building. Make a right and pass through the doors to the pedestrian bridge outside. Once you cross the pedestrian bridge, proceed to the entrance to your right into the Pacifico Conference Center (located next to the entrance to the Intercontinental hotel). Proceed up the escalators or elevator to the 4th Floor to register.

Food and Beverage

Morning and afternoon coffee breaks are complimentary for LinuxCon Japan attendees.  Lunch is not included, however there are a number of restaurant options for lunch located right around Pacifico including 18 restaurants in the Queen's Garden and Landmark Plaza shopping plaza across the street from Pacifico.
