Improving Graphic Performance of MeeGo on ARM

Date: Thursday, June 2nd
Time: 4:00pm
Location: Room 413

The Android, iOS, webOS are candidates of the competitors of MeeGo for the embedded and mobile phone markets used ARM Cortex A8 or A9. However, the latest MeeGo is still behind with the graphic performance in the current circumstances compare to other players. The presentation will illustrate improving performance mostly by removing X-Window(X11) from MeeGo stack. This method makes Qt directly access hardware acceleration feature of GPU since windows system is not mandatory for the handset devices. The actual reference board based on Cortex A8 with 800MHz which having around maximum 50fps will be displayed to the audience in the demonstration.
