Yukihiro Matsumoto, Network Applied Communication Laboratory

Currently, Yukihiro Matsumoto is a Fellow at Network Applied Communication Laboratory Ltd, and he is also a Fellow at Rakuten Technical Research Laboratory. He is the creator of "Ruby", which
is now globaly accepted as an object oriented script language. He encouraged numerous open source projects based on Ruby development environment and contributed to organize global OSS communities and to grow OSS developers, which lead to a recognition by the Japanese Minister of METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in 2007.
