Jes Sorensen, SGI

Jes Sorensen is a veteran Linux kernel developer since 1993. He has worked in a large number of areas in and around the Linux kernel; including high speed networking, Linux/ia64, and various other architectures. He has written more device drivers than he can remember as well as working on the system libraries (glibc) for Linux/ia64. Most recently he has been working on KVM for Linux/ia64 and also ported of Xen/ia64 to the SGI Altix. Jes has been a frequent speaker and tutorial instructor at various Open Source related conferences Linux Kongress and other conferences. Today, Jes works as a kernel engineer for Silicon Graphics Inc. (http://www.sgi.com), as Linux Altix maintainer, technical lead on SGI's Virtualization efforts, and on other Open Source projects. Prior to Silicon Graphics, Jes has worked for Wild Open Source, Linuxcare and the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (http://www.cern.ch).
