Jens Axboe, OracleJens works for Oracle as a Linux kernel hacker. His main areas of expertise are block IO, IO schedulers, and just IO in general. He has worked on SATA/IDE/SCSI, IO scheduling, IO core code, etc. His daily work includes research into new developments in the kernel, as well as maintaining the Linux block IO layer.
