What is the registration fee?
There is no registration fee to attend this event.

Is there a registration deadline?
There is not a registration deadline, but the summit is limited on the number of people that can attend, so if you are interested in attending, we encourage you to request an invitation as early as possible.

What if I need to cancel; can someone else attend in my place?
If you need to cancel, and would like to substitute someone else in your place, please contact us at events (at) linuxfoundation dot org for approval.

Where is the event located?
The event is located at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco, CA.

Where should I stay?
We have a room block at both the Hotel Kabuki and the Hotel Tomo available for attendees with low room rates of $149/night for the Kabuki and $129/night for the Tomo. Please visit the Hotel & Travel page for reservation information.

Are meals included?
Breakfast, Coffee Breaks and Lunch are included on all conference days. There will be an evening reception on Wednesday evening as well with heavy hors d’oeuvres provided.

I am interested in sponsoring the event, who should I contact?
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact us at events (at) linuxfoundation dot org.

May I bring guests?
Many participants will be traveling from afar and may want to travel with companions not attending the event. Please note that since the event is for registered attendees only, guests, family and children are not allowed at any conference sessions or any special events.

When do you recommend I arrive and depart?
When booking your flights, you should plan to arrive to the Hotel Kabuki by Tuesday evening, April 5, 2010 so you don’t miss any of the sessions. Your departure would depend on if you are attending workgroup sessions on Thursday and Friday. The program will end around 5:30pm each day.

Where do I book my hotel accommodations?
Please go to the Travel & Hotel tab at the top of the event website to book your hotel room.

What can I expect in terms of the weather in San Francisco and how should I plan for attire?
March, April and May are some of the most inviting months to visit San Francisco. Characteristically cloudless and mild, some of the warmest and driest days of the year occur in San Francisco's spring months. Check out: www.weather.com and select 10-Day Forecast for the conference dates.

The attire for the event is business casual. Plan to dress in layers, to ensure you are warm or cool enough for the weather/meeting rooms.

What can I expect in terms of the evening events?
We will be holding an evening reception for attendees on the night of Wednesday, April 6th near the Hotel Kabuki.  Complimentary hors d'ouvres and beverages (beer, wine and soft drinks) will be provided at the reception.

Can I talk to somebody to get more details?
