OpenStack-Powered Cloud Solution: Overview of the Dell OpenStack

Dell, the pioneering server hardware member to the OpenStack community was the first to release to the world a fully enabled reference architecture and turn-key OpenStack solution in July of 2011. As part of this module, we will discuss:

• A full solution review of the hardware, software and services included in the Dell OpenStack Cloud solution
• The tools and reference data available to the community
• The future roadmap and vision of Dell OpenStack Cloud

Rafael Zamora, Dell

Rafael Zamora is based in San Francisco, California USA and is celebrating his 12th year at Dell.  His international body of work in enterprise computing has taken him to Europe, Caribbean, Asia and South America.  Three years ago, his focus on data center optimization, developing complex IT hosting and cloud-enabled solutions led him to join Dell’s Data Center Solutions (DCS) team; focusing on next generation compute platforms, scale out computing environments and big data business solutions.  Rafael is specifically focused on the web2.0, emerging markets and Silicon Valley inspired startups.

Mike Krogh has spent the last 12 years in the Service Provider vertical spearheading and developing highly complex IT hosting and cloud solutions. Now with Dell, Mike is part of the DataCenter Solotions (DCS) team; focused on consulting and delivering relvolutionary cloud plaforms, scale out high peformance computing environments and big data business solutions.
