Operating Nova at Scale: Current and Future

Lessons learned from building and deploying Openstack Nova at Rackspace. Will also discuss some of the future challenges that large operators may encounter and potential solutions such as federation of Nova deployments, scaling zones and Glance.

 

Paul Voccio, Rackspace

Paul Voccio is the Sr. Manager of Development for Nova at Rackspace. He has 10 years of experience operations and development in the healthcare, banking and music industries. He was a developer at Slicehost after the acquisition by Rackspace and has lead the CloudServers team since early 2010.
