Xen.org project updates : PVOPS, Xen, XCP and Xen ARM

This talk will give an overview of the various Xen projects and the Xen community, and cover they key developments that occured in Xen.org projects in the last year. It will focus on PVOPS (Xen support in the Linux 3.x kernel) and what that means for you, new features and changes to the hypervisor project and exciting developments in the XCP and the Xen ARM projects. We will also zoom into interesting projects such as project Kronos, which is changing the delivery model for XCP from an appliance to distribution of all Xen components via Linux distributions. The talk will also explain how you contribute and get engaged with Xen projects.

 

Lars Kurth, Citrix

Lars Kurth is community manager for the Xen.org community at Citrix, with the aim to grow, inspire and enthuse the global Xen hypervisor community. Lars is a passionate community manager and open source enthusiast with strong experience of working with and for diverse open source communities such as GNU, Eclipse, Linux, Symbian and Symbian DevCo. Lars is a generalist with a wide range of skills in software development and methodology, leading and building engineering teams, communities, marketing, product management and change programs impacting 1000s of users. Lars has 17 years of industry experience in the infrastructure, tools and mobile sector working at ARM, Citrix, Nokia and the Symbian Foundation.
