Commodore Ballroom in Downtown Vancouver

All LinuxCon attendees are invited to join us to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Linux, "Roaring 20's" style. The event, taking place at the famed Commodore Ballroom in downtown Vancouver, will feature:

• Live music from SwingSoul Orchestra and the Famous Players!
• Full Dinner Buffet and Hosted 'Speakeasy' Bar
• Casino Games - try your luck at the blackjack, craps or roulette tables and you can win fabulous prizes! 
• Dress to Impress - it's a 20's themed event, and we encourage all attendees to get jazzed up for the event! Rent a tuxedo, gangster suit or flapper costume onsite at LinuxCon on Wednesday!

The Commodore is only 5 blocks from the Hyatt Vancouver, however shuttle service will be provided throughout the evening.

Costume and Tuxedo Rentals

Do I need to dress up for the event? Absolutely not - feel free to wear whatever you want! However, each conference attendee does have the opportunity to rent an outfit in the style of the “Roaring 20’s”.

For the Gentlemen - Dress Options:

Tuxedo Rental: $99 (includes jacket, pants, shirt, vest, tie, studs & cufflinks) – shoes are an additional $25

• Pre-Order your tuxedo (click on the link below) and pick it up onsite on Tues, Aug 16th from 12-5pm
• Can't Pre-Order? Onsite rentals are also available in the Oxford Room on Tues, Aug 16th from 12-5pm and Wed, Aug 17th from 9am-12pm.

Costume Rental: A limited number of men’s costumes and/or accessories can be rented onsite in the Oxford room on Tues, Aug 16th from 1-6pm and Wed, Aug 17th from 10am-6pm.

Don’t worry if you can’t rent a tux or costume – we’ll have some festive accessories waiting for you at the event.

For the Ladies - Dress Options:

Costume Rental: Options range from $40-65 for dress and headpiece.

• Onsite costume rental available on Tues, Aug 16th from 1-6pm and Wed, Aug 17th from 10am-6pm. View pictures of the dresses available for rent.

Or, wear what you want - we’ll have some festive accessories at the event to jazz up your existing outfit including pearls, boas and headpieces!
