Taylor Swift wrapped a run of sold-out New York-area shows Friday night with her third show of the week at The Prudential Center in Newark. Over the course of the weeks shows she played to capacity crowds and earned rave reviews, impressing some of the nations toughest critics.

Taylor Swift announced tonight that she will launch a North American stadium and arena tour in early 2013 in support of her blockbuster new album, RED. Taylor made the special announcement in partnership with ABC News on tonights primetime TV special All Access Nashville with Katie Couric A Special Edition of 20/20. RED was released this week to widespread worldwide critical acclaim and has already topped the iTunes album sales charts in 40 countries.

On The RED Tour, Taylor is currently slated to headline 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces in 2013. The tour will kick-off on March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska and continue through September. Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose duet with Taylor from her RED album, Everything Has Changed, has already reached the #1 position atop iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart, will be a special guest on all of the shows on the tour.

The 2013 dates will include nine stadiums Detroits Ford Field, Dallass Cowboys Stadium, Torontos Rogers Centre, Winnipegs Investors Group Field, Vancouvers BC Place Stadium, Pittsburghs Heinz Field, Philadelphias Lincoln Financial Field, Foxborough, Mass.s Gillette Stadium and Chicagos Soldier Field.

The RED Tour will be produced and promoted by The Messina Group (TMG). At Taylors request, every show will include tickets priced at under $50. Released less than a month ago, Taylor Swifts fourth studio album, RED, is already approaching the 2.8 million album worldwide sales mark.

After debuting with musics highest first-week album sales in over a decade, RED is currently in its third consecutive week in the #1 position atop Billboards 200 top albums chart, and as of this week RED will have scanned more than 1.8 million albums in the U.S. since its October 22nd release.

RED, released on Big Machine Records, has topped the sales charts in 42 countries worldwide, with international sales topping 920,000 albums thus far. Taylor now has worldwide career record sales in excess of 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads.

This weekend, tickets went on sale for Taylors two July RED Tour stops at Foxborough, Mass.s Gillette Stadium, with the back to back stadium shows selling out in just 5 minutes.

On Friday, Taylor sold out three stadiums: Torontos Rogers Centre (sold out in 5 minutes), Detroits Ford Field (sold out in 10 minutes), and Chicagos Soldier Field (sold out in 25 minutes), as well as arenas in Los Angeles (2 shows in 1 minute), Washington DC (2 shows in 5 minutes), Atlanta (2 shows in 5 minutes), Miami, Tampa, Columbus, San Diego and Sacramento. Billboard reports, s official: Taylor Swifts sold a whopping 1.208 million copies last week in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, scoring musics highest weekly sales number in more than a decade (since 2002s The Eminem Show), and earning Taylor a new page in the history books as the only female artist (and the fourth artist ever) to hit the 1 million first-week figure twice since SoundScan began tracking actual sales in 1991.

RED notched the 8th largest first-week debut in SoundScan chart history, and the 2nd biggest week ever for a female artist.

RED, released on Big Machine Records, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (Taylors second consecutive million-plus album selling debut and third chart-topping album), and this week sold more than the rest of the albums in the Top 50 combined.

RED is only the 18th album in history to sell a million units in a single week; Taylors Speak Now album is another one of the 18, with a 2010 debut of more than 1.04 million copies.

RED accounted for 19.3% of total albums sold this week -- one out of nearly every 5 CDs or downloads sold this week was Taylors RED album.

With RED, Taylor set a new worldwide iTunes record for highest ever first-week album sales, with 565,545 copies sold digitally around the globe. Taylor Swift Exhibit to Join MIM’s Artist Gallery on October 20

On October 20, the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) will unveil the newest addition to its Artist Galleryan exhibit honoring international multiplatinum superstar Taylor Swift. The exhibit will be welcomed with a weekend-long celebration including live music, educational workshops, exhibit talks, and more!

MIMs Artist Gallery features musical instruments linked to world-renowned musicians and music innovators as well as photographs, wardrobe pieces, personal items, and video footage from various performances. The instruments and artifacts on display in this gallery each have meaningful and unique connections to the artists. Swifts objects will be on display along with iconic instruments from artists worldwide, such as the piano used by John Lennon when he composed Furthermore, the space dedicated to the Taylor Swift exhibit will be one of the largest for a single artist, matched only by the Elvis Presley display.

The first section of the exhibit details the beginning of Swifts career, from learning to play guitar and writing songs to the release of her first single, Tim McGraw, in June 2006. Swift writes or cowrites every song on all of her albums, including her self-titled debut, Taylor Swift" (released in October 2006). Objects in this part of the exhibit include Swifts handwritten lyrics for the song Tim McGraw, along with her signature Taylor koa, six-string acoustic guitar and cowboy boots featured in the Tim McGraw music video.

The second section features Swifts meteoric rise to superstardom, shown through instruments, stage wear, and set pieces from the Speak Now World Tour. Items on exhibit from this tour include her sparkly red Gibson Les Paul electric guitar, which she played while outfitted in her gold Roberto Cavalli dress for tour performances of Also on display will be a Deering banjo and a Leilani ukulele used on the tour, which demonstrate Swifts talents as a multi-instrumentalist. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a large prop bell that was a featured and interactive set piece used during performances of the song on the Speak Now World Tour.

Not only is Taylor Swift one of the most successful musical artists in the world, she is also a multi-instrumentalist and an extraordinarily talented songwriter, said Dr. Bill DeWalt, MIMs president and director. We are honored to showcase some of the important artifacts from Swifts career, and we hope this exhibit inspires our guests of all ages to play an instrument and make their own music.

MIM will celebrate the exhibits opening with a variety of activities for the entire family on October 20 and 21. Museum guests will have the opportunity to listen to an exhibit talk by MIM curatorial assistant David Wegehaupt, attend a songwriting workshop with the Arizona Songwriters Association, watch Taylor Swift music videos in the MIM Music Theater, and listen to students from Rock Roll High School singing Taylor Swift songs. Since its release on August 13th, "Never Ever" has sold in excess of 1.4 million downloads in the U.S., and made more than 385 million all-format audience impressions at radio. The songs debut sales of 623,000 downloads was the biggest opening-week for a song by a woman in SoundScan history, and the second-biggest debut ever. Worldwide, the single has already reached the #1 position atop the iTunes charts in 32 countries. The song is also #1 for the fourth consecutive week on Billboards all-genre Hot Digital Songs chart.

Billboard reports: The three weeks at #1 for "Never" represent the longest Hot 100 reign for a country title since Kenny Rogers "Lady" led for six weeks, beginning Nov. 15, 1980. Not only does "Never" boast the longest Hot 100 domination for any country song since "Lady," but it also scores the longest such lead by a woman since Debby Boone arrived with her 10-week Hot 100 No. 1 "You Light Up My Life," which also rose to No. 4 on Hot Country Songs, in 1977.

Taylor also scored this weeks Hot 100 highest debut, as her charity single, charts at #16. Taylor performed an unreleased, never-before-performed song about a very special little boy, on last weeks Stand Up To Cancer telethon. 3-year old Ronan Thompson passed away last year after battling neuroblastoma. Taylor followed his moms blog and wrote this song for his family. She credits Ronans mom, Maya, as a co-writer on the song, as her strength, her words, her hope, and her beautiful little boy were the songs inspiration. The song was made available on iTunes immediately following Fridays Stand Up To Cancer broadcast, and reached the #1 all-genre position within hours. Billboard reports, s official: Taylor Swift has set the record for the biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together sold 623,000 in the week ending Aug. 19 -- according to Nielsen SoundScan -- and it thus debuts at No. 1 on Billboards Digital Songs chart. Not only is it the best week ever for a woman, but the second-largest ever overall. Swift also nets the largest debut week among women.

In addition, in only one full week of release, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together has claimed the #1 position atop Billboards Hot 100 all-format singles chart, which factors in both sales and radio airplay. The single debuted in the Top 20 on several of Billboards radio airplay charts: the Pop Songs, Adult Pop Songs, Country Songs and Adult Contemporary Charts. This marks Taylors 11th #1 across multiple formats, including Number Ones on the Billboard 200, Digital Songs, Radio Songs, Pop Songs, Country Songs and Country Albums charts, among others.

Worldwide, the single has already reached the #1 position atop the iTunes charts in 32 countries.

Red will be released on October 22nd on Big Machine Records in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Japan, and by Universal Music Group International in the rest of the world. Taylor Swifts highly-anticipated fourth studio album will be released worldwide on October 22nd, Taylor herself announced this evening during a live YouTube web chat with her fans.

Entitled Red, the album will be released on Big Machine Records and contains 16 tracks. After writing her last album (Speak Now) entirely by herself, for this record Taylor collaborated with several artists, producers, and songwriters she had always wanted to work with.

For the last two years, Ive been working on an album called Red, Taylor says. I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love thats fast paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotionsin retrospect, it all looks red.

The first single from Red, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, (written by Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Shellback) has already arrived at radio and will be available today at iTunes and Google Play, and beginning tomorrow worldwide at all digital retail outlets.

The Country Music Hall of Fameand Museum will explore superstarTaylor Swifts record-breaking world tour with the exhibitionTaylor Swift: Speak Now-Treasures from the World Tour,which opens on June 6, 2012, and runs through November 4, 2012. The exhibition will include dozens of costumes, instruments, set pieces and props from the six-time Grammy winners acclaimed 2011-12Speak Now World Tour, which entertained more than 1.5 million fans over 111 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents.

"Taylor SwiftSpeak Nowtour was one of the most successful tours in all of music, and she has been an ambassador for country music, raising awareness of our genre literally around the globe," said Museum Director Kyle Young. "We are delighted to be able to bring our visitors up close and personal with many of their favorite elements from the show, from the colorful and elaborate stage costumes and beautiful instruments, to the magnificent Juliet balcony that Taylor entered near the conclusion of each show and around the circumference of each venue.

"Taylor is a dynamic live performer whose open heart and engaging personality allow her to make even the largest stadium shows an intimate experience," Young continued. "Touring has always been a key element connecting music artists with their fans; those interactions help forge and strengthen the artist-fan relationship, and this exhibit speaks to that. And the opportunity came to us out of discussions we were having with Taylor related to our expansion-serendipity is a wonderful thing!"

Earlier this month, Swift pledged $4 million to fund a new education center at the museum. Swifts gift, the largest capital contribution by an individual artist in the museums 45-year history, prompted the museum to name the new space the Taylor Swift Education Center. The center will open in early 2014. The gift was made in conjunction with the museums expansion capital campaign,Working on a Building: Country Music Lives Here.

Swift has for years been a generous supporter of the museums exhibitions, loaning the institution dresses, stage costumes and instruments for display; a free-standing, Taylor Swift multimedia exhibit has been one of the museums most popular attractions since its debut in May, 2010.

TheSpeak Nowexhibition will recreate 10 vignettes from the tour, including the following artifacts:
