CloudOpen 2012| Hotel & Travel

CloudOpen 2012 will be held at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina in San Diego, California.

Hotel Accommodations

The Linux Foundation has secured a room block and discounted room rates of USD$170/night (plus applicable taxes) at this hotel. We encourage you to stay on-site to take full advantage of the conference.  Please note that rooms in our reserved block will include internet in guest rooms at no additional cost.

We have booked another block of rooms at the Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island, located .7 miles from the Sheraton.  The room rate is US$179/night and includes wireless internet as well as complimentary shuttle service to/from the Sheraton each day.

Transportation

Fly in to San Diego International Airport. The hotel is conveniently located just a 10 minute car ride from the airport - cab fare should be around USD$10. The Sheraton also offers a complimentary shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes from 4:45am - 12:00am. Outside these hours, guests may contact the hotel directly and request a pickup. (Please note: the hotel shuttles are grey, blue and white and run from the Marina Hotel, Bay and Terminals 1 & 2).

Travel within San Diego

Looking for an inexpensive way to travel around San Diego? Starting Friday, May 25 the San Diego Port Authority will be launching a new service along San Diego's Embarcadero called the Big Bay Bayfront shuttle. There are (4) 15 passenger shuttles, and the cost to ride is only $1 per person per day. The pick up/drop off location at the Sheraton is the front drive of Marina Tower - shuttles are set to arrive every 10-15 minutes. Hours of operation are 10:00am-8:00pm Sunday-Thursday and 10:00am-10:00pm on Friday & Saturday.
