Kento Masaki rounded off the competition with victory in the men's +100kg, and his coach, Yoshiyasu Endo, admitted it had been an amazing Games.
He said: 'I like London. The atmosphere, the music, the greeting at the [Paralympic Village], the warm welcome. Once I get back to Japan I'm sure I will miss London.'
Masaki's was the first gold medal for Japan after the team failed to win one at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
In three days of Judo action, 13 gold and silver medals and 26 bronze medals were awarded at ExCeL.
Ukraine topped the table with three gold medals in the men's categories and five medals overall. Cuba was second with four medals and Azerbaijan third with three.
