Working with the NOCs

LOCOG’s NOC Services and Relations team manages the day-to-day liaison with the NOCs. The team sits within the LOCOG Sport department and works closely with them to ensure that sport and the athletes' needs are at the heart of everything LOCOG delivers. At Games time, the team will be based in the Olympic Villages in Stratford, Egham and Weymouth and will be responsible for the delegation registration process.

Our team works with each of the NOCs on a daily basis to make sure that they are aware of all LOCOG services being provided to their athletes and can plan accordingly. The team has also recruited a significant number of volunteers that will act as ‘team hosts’ for the NOCs to ensure that their needs are met from the moment they arrive in London until they depart after the Closing Ceremony.

Pre-Games Training Camps

The NOC Services and Relations team also manages the Pre-Games Training Camp programme, which aims to attract NOCs from across the world and direct them to over 600 world-class training facilities across the UK in the run up to the Games.

A number NOCs or individual sports teams have already organised or are in the process of hosting camps across the UK. A list of these agreements is available to download here

NOCs that require further information on any of these services or programmes should contact us at noc-npc@london2012.com.
