Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut Announced For Wii U

Square Enix has revealed a Director's Cut for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, exclusively for the Wii U.

You may have seen news about the game popping up on Amazon yesterday, but Square Enix has made it official: Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is a real thing. Eidos Montréal announced today that the Director’s Cut of DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, is coming “soon” just for Nintendo’s new Wii U gaming console.

First released for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in 2011 – Deus Ex: Human Revolution is adding a slew of features and content for the Director’s Cut. These new features include some Wii U GamePad functions such as touch-screen hacking, interactive map editing, augmented sniping, grenade throwbacks and more. What’s more, the Director’s Cut takes advantage of the Wii U’s Miiverse in addition to providing access to developer commentaries and in-game guides.

DLC, like Tongs’s Rescue mission and the entire Missing Link chapter, has also been included into the main game. Some other significant changes that can be found in the Director’s Cut include overhauled boss fights, refined game balance and combat, improved AI, and visual improvements.

While no officially release date or time frame has been given for the Director’s Cut, Square Enix will be showing off the game for the first time at PAX East.
