Baylor nabbed the No. 1 seed and will open the tournament against Prairie View. The Bears have won all 14 of their previous games against the Panthers, including a first-round victory in 2011.

Stanford was given the top seed in the Spokane Region of the national tournament, while Pac-12 rival California was awarded the No. 2 seed. The Cardinal opens at home Sunday against Tulsa.

Notre Dame Athletics

Notre Dame earned the No. 1 seed in the Norfolk Region and is eyeing a third consecutive run to the championship game. The Irish hope to capture the title after coming up short the past two years.

Connecticut Athletics

Connecticut received the top seed in the Bridgeport Regional and will face 16th-seeded Idaho from the Western Athletic Conference in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday.
