a side effect of having a larger gaming audience means that not all of them will be knowledgeable enough to know when theyre getting ripped off... slowly but surely EA will chew through the good will of its current buyers

SimCity had a pretty tough launch week, all things considered, so Johnny's here to rub salt in the wound.
Welcome to feedbackula! Where gamespot's videoplayer is still utter shit and lags so if you couldn't stand the voice of mine and many other coworkers from gamespot, you'll be happy to hear that each syllable i say comes after every 20 seconds! Also a lot of this video is us making impressions of comment-ers and add in our own commas so that we can waste some more of your time. "If you don't like it don't watch it." fuck off
I am about to make a comment that is completely/kind of off topic, feedbackula is a rip off of points of view (not in a bad way I loved that show) with Anne Robinson, okay that show was about TV shows but it is basically the same concept. Is Johnny related to Anne Robinson in some kind of weird lovechild kind of way, I only ask because he has the same persona and screen presence that she had in the show. Check out YouTube for old video's on points of view and you will be able to see the similarity.
Putting the DRM aside, correct me if I'm wrong but, while you can technically play an 'individual' city in offline mode, you still need to be connected to EA servers in order for region play to work. so if you are offline while connected to the region, your cities won't communicate with each other properly. This is going by what EA told u before launch (not that i trust them) but also from personal experience playing the game.
Also, i don't know why people are complaining about map size, the map size is perfect considering that one city is not meant to do everything.
Aiden. although Patricia`s c0mment is astonishing, on saturday I bought themselves a Chevrolet Corvette after earning $6690 this-last/5 weeks and-also, ten thousand this past-month. with-out any question its the most comfortable work I have ever done. I actually started eight months/ago and right away started making more than $78, per/hr. I follow this website, Fox76.comCHECK IT OUT
Feedbackula is great. Every time I watch it the show makes me laugh. The staff reading the comments out loud is hilarious.
Haha, I didn't expect one of my comments to make it into this episode. Awesome.
"Eat it, EA."
Indeed!
Does anyone else notice that nearly everyone who defends this game has trouble making legible sentences? Any other company in a different market sector that put out as many defective products as EA would have gone under long ago.
Providing feedbacks and reviews serve as a vehicle for improvements -- doesn't make sense to wait for patches before providing reviews as the best kind of feedback are immediate constructive ones.
There should be a Mega Man or Mega Man X feedbackula after all those cancelled games in a row!
Oh sob it to hades, drama queen. I have been playing this game for 40 hours, yes it has it flaws, but what game doesn't? They said they will not give the offline mode, so live with it. Most of people complaining, actually don't even buy the game, just jumping into bandwagon, just like ME 3 ending, it kinda a thing at first, but then EA/Maxis start to make it better and better, yet you still complaining about exactly the same thing. Yes you rubbing salt in the wound, just like a bitch you are.
@KrizardXV wow! its like reading a lost sonnet by shakespear..broken game thats always online? think i'll keep my money thanks.
@KrizardXV Thousands of people had problems with this game at launch but you're the one guy that feels the need to defend it so i'm guessing you're a troll. It's people like you that keep shady companies like EA going.
@KrizardXV I am glad you enjoy paying for a product that did not work till two weeks after launch. I am also happy you like aspects of a game forced upon you. Furthermore, I am really glad you enjoy bending over for a company like EA. Here is your cookie.
I grew a pair after the mass effect 3 debacle. Im proud for not buying this game.
@Jallakebab What Mass Effect 3 debacle, what are you talking about? That wasn't always online and the MP worked from day one (and is actually still one of the best MPs out there).
@Jallakebab Yeah, Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 really woke me up to some harsh realities. It's a shame that EA can destroy so much that was beautiful in gaming.
I gave in to ME3 but not Diablo 3, Anno 2070 (when it had always online DRM), MoH War Fighter, CoD MW2 and on, yearly sports games, Dead Space 3, RE6 or now this (Sim City). ...Always online DRM is probably the fastest deal breaker for me.
people need to grow a pair
stop funding EA/activision/ubisoft and buying games from companies who actually care about their customers
if each and every one of you guys will stuff buying their products they will lose less money and fall on day (in the future maybe)
but still you people just need to make a true gamer oath: we fight against greed, hell and wallet rape
we are white the white knights. praise our true intention to make the gaming world a better place for everyone
@thequickshooter Who is this 'we' you write of? so you want less girls to play video games?
'Kevin Nerd Rage' Comment was too effing funny. I could only imagine kevin rolling his eyes with a half-smile upon reading/hearing that.
@Epicurus-Reborn I assume Kevin's rage comes in the form of a strongly written letter.
Ah the internet. If a reviewer gives a high score then they are paid for their reviews. Too low they're incompetent. If a game you buy straight out of the box isn't playable from start to finish it is broken. If they have to patch, or fix it, then it is broken. Also, toast.
@Skrillbak Stupid us who expect to be able to play a game as soon as we paid for it. Stupid us who think that having always online DRMs shoved down our throats, and being forced to pay online for the sake of it is BS.
I really feel so stupid now that youv'e shown me the light. I am a criminal until proven otherwise, I can see it now!
Johnny your video was both accurate and informative. I'm glad both sides of the argument got to voice their opinions, even though one is misguided and devoted to being bent over. The review score was perfectly fine. Every review has always been based on the release. Just because some people wanted SimCity to succeed because of their fond memories of the earlier iterations, doesn't make it okay to break the rules and give EA a whole week or two leeway to "fix" the game - which was shipped broken.
The funny thing is, the other games out there that aren't always-online would have deserved a "second review" more than this, because always-online DRM is part of the foundations of the game! Something that WILL NOT be patched out regardless of consumer outcry makes it worse than the developers who ACTUALLY fix their games!
A lot of the commenters were right. This game is a shame, EA is a disgrace, and I hope and pray no developer/publisher will ever attempt always-online DRM ever again. It attempts to fight piracy when it really only hurts the law-abiding customers. Oh, and look, a week-and-a-half later there's already an offline hack. What a complete waste lmao. You seriously can't make this stuff up.
It's amazing how many people still want to defend his game. Just because the servers are "ok" now, that doesn't mean the game isn't still broken. The RCI, regional trade, public games, poor AI, etc. still make this game completely broken.
Anyways, 9/10 for this episode! :P
Skrym gets a 9,0 because every one loves the game..Skryims good looking an all..How ever the combat is stale an boring..They should really try to fix the combat in this day an age on that type of game..
I just wish all reviewers used the same criteria when evaluating Skyrim for PS3. What did it get? 9.0? 9.5 on GS? THAT has been a total shame!
im sick of games coming out half done and having to wait 3 or 4 weeks befor they patch it. : /
@cloughy666 Yet people say that the game isn't broken. You'll get all the features you paid for in a bit after we fix it seems to be broken by most people standards.
