  1. Staring in 1969, Bubonicon is the largest general-interest science fiction convention in New Mexico and among the oldest in the Southwest. Now in its 43rd year, Bubonicon continues to bring the best in fantasy and science fiction as well hosting the Green Slime Awards, which honor the worst in Science Fiction from the previous year.
