Freedom of information act

The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) gives you the right to find out whether information you require is held by Great Ormond Street (GOSH), and if so, to have access to it.

FOI has been introduced with the aim of increasing openness and transparency; however, there are some circumstances when information cannot be disclosed.

The Act, which came into effect on 1 January 2005, covers non-personal information that the hospital holds, regardless of its format, and when it was created.

Our compliance with the Act demonstrates the Trust’s commitment to openness and accountability for the services we provide.

Further information about the Act can be found at the Information Commissioner’s website.
