Isle of Man Aerospace Sector
High-tech manufacturing in the Isle of Man has been thriving for over 60 years and today is primarily driven by a successful aerospace sector in turn driven by the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster (IOMAC) which offers cost-effective, design and manufacture solutions to the aerospace industry, as well as the oil and gas and space industries.
The Cluster consists of 18 companies involved with aerospace design, manufacture or service provision and is a joint initiative between the Department of Economic Development and the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
Between them these companies employ over 800 highly skilled personnel, a figure that’s grown by over 25% in the last 7 years.
Dynamic and agile, the Cluster forms part of the UK’s North West Aerospace Alliance so is directly linked to one of Europe's largest and most proactive Aerospace Clusters.
