The Isle of Man enjoys excellent transport links to major transport hubs in the UK and Ireland.
There are approximately 50 flights to London airports and 30 to Manchester every week, making the Isle of Man an ideal gateway from which to travel to Europe and the rest of the world.
Additionally, there are daily ferry crossings to Heysham and Liverpool, major ports in NW England.
Arriving by Air
Isle of Man Airport is located near Castletown, about 20 minutes drive from the centre of Douglas.
Frequent flights are available to over 20 major UK and regional airports such as London (City, Gatwick and Luton), Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Belfast. Dublin and the Channel Islands are also served
Arriving by Private Jet
A new Executive Terminal is currently being developed at Isle of Man Airport by The Private Jet Company, which is due for completion in August 2012. As well as a private terminal with executive lounges and crew rooms, the purpose-built facility will feature executive aircraft handling and hangarage.
Arriving by Sea
The Isle of Man’s principal port is Douglas. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operates multi-purpose roll-on/roll-off vessels with the main sea routes being: Douglas to Liverpool; Douglas to Heysham; Douglas to Belfast; Douglas to Dublin.
The Steam Packet Company also operates twice daily ‘fast craft’ services to Liverpool from April to October.
Freight Services
Freight services between the Isle of Man and UK are offered by the Isle of Man Steam Packet and Mezeron Limited (part of the Peter Dohle Group). The Steam Packet carries freight on its passenger routes while Mezeron currently operates routes to Belfast and Glasson Dock.
