Developing Peer-to-Peer & Computer Vision Apps for Android

In this educational session, Marcello Lioy of Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. and Michael Mangan of Qualcomm Inc. will provide an overview of two frameworks that are freely available to developers for adding cutting-edge functionality to their Android apps. An OSS project, AllJoyn is peer-to-peer technology that enables ad hoc, proximity-based, device-to-device communication. FastCV is a library of the most widely used, computationally intensive vision processing APIs, with hardware acceleration for better performance on mobile devices. Audience is developers interested in incorporating peer-to-peer and mobile CV into apps. In this session, they will learn the hows and whys for both these frameworks as they evaluate their development strategies.
