Majesco has release NBA Baller Beats, a game that combines hit dance music with dribbling skills. The hook here is that a real Spaulding basketball comes with the game, which means gamers will learn how to improve their ball handling. They’ll also be getting a workout inside, while listening to hit music tracks. Golden State Warriors NBA All-Star Stephen Curry checked out the new game, along with the game’s creator Curtis Smith, in the exclusive video below.

The new Kinect for Xbox 360 game comes with a Spaulding basketball, which is more than just show like in 2K Sports’ upcoming NBA 2K13 game. That basketball is part of the gameplay, as hoops fans will be challenged to dribble to the beat of hit songs from the likes of Common, Kanye West, Skrillex, and Queen. Alison Sweeney made a name for herself as Sami Brady Hernandez on the NBC soap operat “Says of Our Lives.” But prime time NBC viewers know her as the host of “The Biggest Loser.” Gamers know Sweeney from her work with EA Sports Active, the fitness game that used Wii and Kinect to help get people in shape. COLOGNE, Germany – The Gamescom Awards are the most coveted prizes in the European games industry and an accolade for outstanding software and hardware. Last week, more than 275,000 visitors to Cologne experienced the spectacular innovations presented at Gamescom 2012. Among them were the 20 international jurors and experts from the world’s leading games media who made up the jury for the Gamescom awards 2012. It was this jury that picked out the winners of the awards for this year’s best games and hardware from more than 100 entries.

All used games, consoles, and electronic devices in the US go to a huge factory in Grapevine, Texas where they’re inspected, refurbished, categorized and then shipped back out to stores around the country. Michael Phelps has earned the final gold medal of his career – his 18th -- in the 4 x 100-meter medley relay at London 2012.
