The Conduit HD Debuts March 14 On Android

The Conduit is a decent first-person shooter that appeared on Wii in 2009. Despite producing a sequel shortly thereafter, developer High Voltage Software didn't make much of a dent among the hardcore faithful. This will hopefully change March 14, as The Conduit HD will appear on Tegra-powered Android devices.

Set in the near future, the game casts players as Michael Ford, an agent charged with investigating an alien invasion in Washington D.C. In addition to accessing 18 different weapons, Ford also possesses the All Seeing Eye, a device that allows him to see concealed objects and enemies.

As expected, the Android version was tweaked to work on touchscreens. High Voltage also promises enhanced visuals, along with support for GameStop's Tablet Wireless Bluetooth controller.

The first two missions will be free to play. From there, gamers can pay $4.99 for the next seven levels, or fork over $2.99 for levels three-to-six and $2.99 for levels seven-to-nine.

The Conduit struggled to shine on Wii, but considering the slim-pickings on Android, there's a good chance the portable crowd will enjoy what this FPS has to offer.
