Heard the story on the local news here in KC. Hope he can clean up with this second chance.

Wow. Thats a great story. It has just made me believe in the goodness of humans.
Not the homeless guy, it doesn't surprise me he gave the ring back.

The people who raised the money for him.

Wow I seen that on the news and that is terrific and the homeless guy giving back the ring doesn't surprise me neither.  He didn't have to what most people fail to realize good portion of us are one pay check from being the homeless guy and it has nothing to do with booze or drugs.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, but nice.

Sadly, the $100k may very well end up killing him, as is often the case for those who suddenly come into money.

What is sad that everyone in spite of the fact that the homeless guy gave back the ring without any expectation of a reward, is being called all sorts of dispicable things.  The dispicable ones are the ones assuming he is an alcoholic or drug addict.  Shame on all of you

Now all those relatives who made him feel like dirt are going to show up and say,"Where's your family feelings?"

Hey, +cynthia slick, I'm not seeing anyone saying that he's alcoholic or an addict.  I was just saying how I would have used the money.

Don't be so judgmental...

Congrats. There used to be a saying "honesty is the best policy". That is paying off now. Hopefully he gets someone who can help him with his new financial situation.
