Who We’re Looking For:

 

Someone who can help plan, build, and maintain features for our website, API, and backend services (XMPP server, async jobs, etc). Basically, the entire HipChat platform.

 

  • You're a natural at frontend website work in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • You know languages like Python, Ruby, and PHP (good, maintainable, PHP - no spaghetti code). Knowledge of asynchronous programming using a library like Twisted Matrix is a big plus.
  • You're proud of your development environment and always seek out the best tools.
  • You bring high engineering standards to your work.
  • You're interested in working on scalable systems with high reliability requirements. People will rely on your code to send funny cat photos to each other at work!
  • You use the best of open-source and contribute back to the community.
  • You can convey complex thoughts using emoticons only.
