I was literally holding my breath during the live broadcast last night. I was hoping that someone from Square-Enix would show up. I really wanted this company to show up there and make a huge announcement, one that would've restored gamers faith in them. When the Square-Enix logo appeared and the first Hashimoto appeared, I almost squealed (shameful but true). I thought that this was the time they would set things right with their fans. I had a glimmer of hope that either a re-appearance of Versus or maybe something entirely new would happen. Then he showed the Agni's Philosophy's demo. Dissapointment no.1. Oh well, at least we now know that this isn't a game any more. That's when the eldest of the Hashimoto's took the stage (and I remembered him from the FF X HD video that I saw mid-week). "This is it!", I thought. So much excitement! And then he said... nothing. He asked us to be patient for another 3 months. Dissapointment no.2. Why do you keep doing this to your own fans? Why would you even allow him to go on stage just to announce nothing and get our hopes up? It would've been much wiser to keep it all in the dark and have it show up at E3! Now I guess we have to wait till then...

While I usually support everything that SE does because I understand the reasons behind them, and I generally end up loving whatever they do, I can't find a reason to understand the embarrassment that happened at Sony today, being a long-time Squaresoft and Square-Enix fan. Showing footage that was seen 10 months ago, Agni's Philosophy, and the presence of the Luminous engine, was something I can't understand. We already knew that the Luminous engine was going to be on PS4, it was logical as PS3 is now over 6 years old. Also, teasing to a new Final Fantasy was pointless because no actual information was given other than 'There's going to be a new final fantasy'. The time Square-Enix was given at the Sony press livestream was wasted. I really hope that this doesn't happen again.

You fly not one but two Hashimotos around the world just to show a 10 months old pre-rendered tech demo and to announce an announcement? Why the effort?

That was a waste of everyone's time and, again, you lost a great opportunity to grab back media attention. Instead, you'll be labeled the worst presentation at the show.

I'm speechless but not surprised. What else was I expecting from a company that ignores their fans' pleas and delivers them instead the same mediocre game over and over again for the last 6 years?

I found a perfect stream the last 20 mins or so I watch but I pick up something that I said before about 2 versions of a title and I said 1 be superior other the other & guess what there was 2 title to be on ps3 & ps4.

Yes SE are trolls but 2 ff then is the new norm.

Still no clear about cloud gaming I said on twitter no big deal with new flashy console no console will ever be better looking then ps3 & I said ps4 will have screen tear will I saw watch dogs that had screen tear lol.

I thought that SE's part of the presentation was underwhelming since it was just a known presentation of Luminous Engine.

When the second Hashimoto came on stage I actually got really excited until he trolled us with having to wait for E3 for the announcement of a new FF title.

I really hope this isn't another situation like FFX HD that was announced for the Vita when the game probably hadn't even gone into development yet.

I hope the new FF doesn't overshadow FFXIV:ARR reborn. So what's your bets? An all new title to be FFXV? Will vsXIII be transformed into FFXV?

Despite superfast 77mb broadband live streaming sucks I can't watch it but so far I was not impress but what I understand that got me in a good feeling was cloud gaming to roll out in phases that mean all platforms.

I think the obvious answer would be PS4, but you never know, they'll probably have another announcement to make... Maybe a new PS Vita? Based on how many PSP's they released, I wouldn't be surprised.

Throwing money at the screen? Lol, no!? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the announcement, but until I see what games their offering and the specs of the console, I'm not letting them anywhere near my money.

I suppose this is exciting for any gamer really. I haven't really heard any rumors about the PS4 so I'm curious to see what they offer in this announcement (should it end up being the PS4).

I think the big surprise would be if they didn't announce the PS4 tonight.

Still, for me the interesting part will always be if they actually announce games too.

Not sure if the rumours of Playstation World (aka Sony's version XBox live) are actually good news. PSN had the good thing where you could play online without having to pay a subscription.

Sony will announce that ps4 will come bundled with FF VII h/d remake and with FF Versus

I don't know, but if it is the PS4 (which there's only a slim chance it's not), and they announce a game for it with Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts in the title, then I won't be able to contain myself lol

I'd say the big announcement is either a IP acquisition or maybe the release of newer titles. PS4 news just seems way to premature as well as that since everyone is expecting it, it feels less likely to happen.

Maybe they came up with a cure for a common cold.

Well the rumors are when the Ps4 May/is be reveal it be using a Paid sub to play online.

but the biggest clue is a domain website Geikei to be called Playstation-cloud [Ps-cloud] & it just be just that to be announce as it too early to announce Ps4 when cloud gaming not out Yet, it like announceing it with all features that not out yet they set themselves for a fall. if things go wrong.

it make sense that cloud gaming will come on a Ps3 1st to test it then build into the Ps4 when it comes, but then if it is the Ps4 what's the point it be a further year before we get it.

let me guess they gonna Hype it like they do on every thing esle even they recycle old news to hype games.

I would love PS4 to be shown, but i think it would be better news to have a release date Dec this year and Confirmation on FF Agni's Philosophy and MGS ground zeros and Phanton Pain with PES14 running Fox engine all release games. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN but i would love it too. realistically an announcement maybe a video teasing design and features. maybe confirmation that some first party sony games are in production like KZ4 Motorstorm 4 Uncharted 4 etc. GT6
