Naughty Dog teaming up with Dark Horse Comics to release art book

Game development studio Naughty Dog is teaming up with Dark Horse Comics to publish an art book titled The Art of Naughty Dog, which will be available later this year. According to Naughty Dog's community strategist Eric Monacelli, The Art of Naughty Dog will "span the history of Naughty Dog and feature hand-picked, never-before-released artwork depicting our past, present and future." The book is being released to commemorate the studio's 30th year in business. It will also feature fan art from throughout the years. More is expected to be announced in the coming months. Sony kicks off PlayStation Evolution retrospective series with a look at the original PlayStation

Sony says the world will "see the future" at its PlayStation Meeting 2013 event next week in New York, but today the company went back in time with a retrospective series it calls "PlayStation Evolution." The first episode, "The Beginning," focuses on the inception of Sony's video game division and the rise of its first console, the PlayStation. Sony Computer Entertainment was founded in November 1993; the PlayStation launched in Japan in December 1994, and in North America and Europe in September 1995. Early PlayStation-exclusive hits included Crash Bandicoot, PaRappa the Rapper and Wipeout.
