    • How awesome would it be to sit at the gears of a fighter jet and see the world from tens of thousands of feet above ground at speeds of hundreds of miles per hour? Most of us will never get the opportunity to fly a fighter jet, of course, but worry not, you can now experience the view.

A new YouTube video uploaded by a Navy pilot gives viewers a firsthand experience inside the cockpit of an F-18 Super Hornet -- no rigorous training required. The video was uploaded by YouTube user Sir Francis 92, whose nickname matches the name on the pilot's helmet. It documents an entire flight from takeoff to landing from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Along the way, the pilot demonstrates some of the incredible rolls and turns that make these jets so special. The pilot even engages in a midair refueling from another jet.

More than 65,000 people have already viewed the 12- minute video, and people are in awe of the pilot's flying and service. One person wrote, "You sir are a badass."

    • It's Valentine's Day, and what better way to celebrate all the love than talking about the zombie apocalypse, right? Oh? That's not your idea of a lovey-dovey conversation? Apparently the zombie apocalypse is a hot-button issue, though. So contentious, in fact, that it became the topic of debate during a Canadian Parliament meeting on Wednesday.

At Wednesday's House of Commons meeting, Winnipeg Parliament member Pat Martin asked Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird about zombie apocalypse preparations. What followed was a debate that has created YouTube viral gold. Martin asks for the government to put in place measures for dealing with an invasion of zombies. Martin says, "I don't need to tell you, Mr. Speaker, that zombies don't recognize borders. Zombie invasion in the United States could easily turn into a continent-wide pandemic if it's not contained." His proclamation is of course met with laughter and disbelief by other Parliament members.

      Martin continues, "On behalf of

    • Meet Caffrey, the two-legged cat. The black Persian lost his left hind leg 10 years ago after being run over by a car. His left front paw was badly damaged, and his owner, Sue Greaves, paid nearly $5,500 for the surgery to save his left front leg.

Four months ago, Caffrey's veterinarian found a malignant tumor in his left front leg and advised that it might be best to euthanize Caffrey. Instead, Greaves decided to have Caffrey's leg amputated, and soon after the surgery Caffrey was bouncing around on his two remaining legs.

Greaves is so happy to still have her feline companion by her side and understands people's shock when they witness his ability to get around. "Everyone who sees him is astonished at what he can do. He doesn't seem bothered by having only two legs."

Meanwhile, the video of Caffrey getting around is racking up the "likes" on YouTube. So far, his video has more than 200,000 views and counting. People are inspired by the little guy's resilience, with one commenter

    • You've heard the adages "No good deed goes unpunished" and "Never judge a book by its cover." There is perhaps no better recent example of both sayings being applicable than in what happened to 29-year-old Kyle Osborn.

Osborn owns an auto detailing shop in Harrisonville, Missouri. On Feb. 6 he found an envelope containing $1,200 in cash on the ground outside of the Sutherlands Hardware Store. Osborn went in search of the money's owner, walking around the store to see if he could find anyone who had lost something. He found a man who said he had lost the envelope of cash and gave the envelope to him. Osborn was surprised by what the man said: "I hope it's all there." Osborn said that "a simple 'thank you' would have been nice."

Osborn later posted the details of what happened on his Facebook page. His post got the attention of the guys at Sutherlands. They thought the way the man had responded to Osborn's gesture was so rude that they wanted to make things right. They put together a

    • Children often possess a unique ability to view the world through their uncorrupted free-spirited eyes. Their imagination is endless, and they do not tend to mind exploring and expressing it to the world. Sometimes children can also be wise beyond their years, and they impart that knowledge to adults--if we let them.

That is the case in the short film "The Scared Is Scared," from Bianca Giaever, whose concept and story came from a 6-year-old boy named Asa Baker-Rouse. Giaever, a recent graduate of Middlebury College, asked Asa what her movie should be about, and "The Scared Is Scared" is Asa's thoughts and imagination brought to life.

The actors and animation perform the story as Asa narrates, and his imagination runs wild. It is the story of a bear and a mouse who enjoy spending time together at a pool. Beyond the funny and silly parts of the film, Asa offers some advice to Giaever, who admits she is scared about graduating from school. Asa says, "When the scared feeling comes into
