iPhone 5S reportedly revealed in leaked photos

Images of Apple’s (AAPL) next-generation “iPhone 5S” have seemingly leaked, revealing a handset very similar in design to the current iPhone 5. Photos purportedly showing the upcoming new iPhone model were published recently on Chinese-language sjbbs.zol.com and later picked up by a number of sites. The images are said to have been taken inside a Foxconn factory and they reportedly show the iPhone 5S coming off an assembly line. The exterior design of the device pictured matches the current model, as expected, but there are several differences with the device’s internal layout that can be seen in the photos. Recent reports suggest that the iPhone 5S could launch this summer alongside a new cheaper iPhone. Additional images of the purported iPhone 5S follow below.

Another "update" or "upgrade," or whatever they're calling it this time. This means one of two things, or maybe both: One, all these constant revisions mean that Apple just hasn't yet gotten the hang of making smart phones (thus, why should we buy one), or two, they're intentionally making the previous version of their product seem obsolete (while it still does the job perfectly well), and hyping the hell out of the new version to make customers think they must buy the new one or live with a "technologically inferior" product. I don't like either scenario myself -- I'm not buying another iPhone.

I've had 5 iPhones and I loved all of them but I look forward to the day when these "leaks" are no longer deemed to be newsworthy.

Sorry Yahoo. People care less and less about "leaked" iPhone photos. It's hard to get excited about minuscule improvements.

    • Sister In Open Marriage Takes Sharing Too Far

DEAR ABBY: My daughters are attractive young women, both doing well in their professional careers. "Melanie," who is 27, is married to "Sam," an extremely attractive and successful man.My 30-year-old daughter, "Alicia," has been divorced for a year. Her marriage failed two years ago because she and her husband had an appetite for sex outside their marriage. While I was disturbed about that, I was horrified to learn that Melanie allows her sister to occasionally have sex with Sam.Melanie's argument is that Sam is less likely to cheat given this situation. ...

    • I never thought Ronaldo would get so many goals: Ferguson

MADRID (Reuters) - Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid displays have come as something of a surprise to former boss Alex Ferguson who described his form as "phenomenal" on the eve of Manchester United's Champions League tie at Real Madrid. Portugal forward Ronaldo, sold by United for a world record fee of 94 million euros ($126.57 million) in 2009, faces his old club for the first time in Wednesday's last-16 first leg tie. "Ronaldo is a better player than when he left us because of his maturity," Ferguson told a news conference at Real's Bernabeu stadium on Tuesday. ...

    • Nadal renews attack on hard courts

SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Former world number one Rafa Nadal has renewed his attack on hard courts as he prepares for the second tournament on his comeback trail at the Brazil Open. The 26-year-old Spaniard, who returned to competitive action at the Chile Open last week after a left knee condition sidelined him for seven months, said the number of tournaments played on hard surfaces would limit players' careers. He also criticized a move to speed up matches by strictly enforcing the 20-second rule between points at grand slams. ...
